Local notes cover Bank Grocery sale ongoing under new management, theater renovation, upcoming dances and millinery, new births, and community updates. Robert G. Wright and Clara Moulton marry in San Francisco with later housekeeping plans in Grass Range. Election chatter includes town polls and school bonds set for April 3.
Last Tuesday evening the Boy Scouts held an enjoyable meeting and new athletic goods arrived for the boys. The intermediate room has attended daily music rehearsals at the high school assembly. Graduates and prospective graduates are preparing for commencement in early May. Ruth Cameron was champion speller in the intermediate room Friday. Excitement grows over the school election this week and Mrs. W. M. Weber was to visit last Friday.
Easter Day services will be held at ton Hayter Sunday with a Sunday school program at 11 a.m. Rev Aiten plans to preach at Chippewa school house every other Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Rev Allen will deliver the Easter sermon next Sunday night with a special musical program by local vocalists Mrs Allen and Mr W H Grobe.
Alexander Wonder, a herd boar, and dam B. Z's Bessie are offered by R. H. Kaufman on the Bat Trick Ranch at Omaha Bench Montana. The 2 year old animal weighs about 450 pounds and the price is described as very reasonable.
Anaconda Standard dedicates a page to Montana highway work for the year. In Fergus county only two projects are named a northern road from Lewistown and the 18 mile Custer Battlefield Highway segment from Grass Range toward the county line with six miles nearly finished. The contract for completion is expected to be let on April 15.
L. W. Rush, 12 miles south of Grass Range, offers for sale a brood mare in foal, four horses, twenty hogs including prime brood stock, two heifers, and one cow.
