Indians top Ore City in final scrimmage preview
Grand Saline Indians Varsity football held a staged scrimmage with Ore City last Thursday. The offense moved 41 yards on 15 plays in the first series, while the Tribe’s defense limited Ore City to three first downs, with one scoring play a 63 yard TD pass. The second unit added a 57 yard TD pass from J.P. Phillips to Randall Morgan, and Nick Colacino intercepted a pass. The game progressed to a full quarter with the Tribe turning up the pace, driving to a 14-0 lead on a Nick Colacino TD run and a Michael Munn two point conversion. The Indians ended the quarter with a strong goal line stand and a fumble recovery by their defense.
