Grand Saline man injured in motorcycle crash
A 45-year-old Grand Saline man, Phil Westbrook, was seriously injured Tuesday night when his motorcycle left Hwy. 857, struck a telephone pole, and he was airlifted to Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. Grand Saline officers and EMS responded.

Duchesses Vie For Crown In Salt Festival Pageant
Seven local women will be presented as duchesses at the Salt Festival pageant next week. The Athena Club hosts dress rehearsal Monday and crown night Tuesday at 7 30 p.m. in the high school cafetorium with admission four dollars. Highlights include Amber Hamessley Meghan Koonce and Janelle Pope with Hamessley representing Grand Saline Study Club and escorted by Brice Brown. Hamessley graduates this week from Grand High School and plans to pursue a court role.
