Grand Saline ISD extends superintendent contract for Gilbert
The Grand Saline Independent School District extends Superintendent Gerald Gilbert’s contract by one year, leaving him with three total. Trustees approved a $20,975 bid from Jerry Vaughn for a new weight room foundation and storage facility at the west end of the football stadium. Gilbert proposed a senior year Cisco Systems Engineer or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or hardware engineer program, to aid students in career paths, with a policy seminar and potential changes planned for February 14. The board reviewed AEIS TAAS data, maintenance projects, and a positive fund balance, noting upcoming bus, fencing, and utility cost considerations.
