65 Men Gather To Study Growth Plans For City
Grand Saline residents met for a second time in the Grade School Cafeteria with 65 business leaders and citizens in attendance. The steering committee listed three subcommittees on extending city limits and financing, annexation ideas, and a cleanup campaign. Funeral services were held for Lemuel Burges 57 at Corinth Baptist Church with three ministers officiating. Burial followed at the Corinth of the Bartley Funeral Home. Burges, a retired truck farmer and Grand Saline resident, had served on the Grand Saline ISD Board of Education.
