Constable seeks extra funds for travel in precinct 3
Van Zandt County Commissioners Court held a special session on August 27 with 25 agenda items including a request by Clarence Hogan Constable Precinct 3 for a 700 to 800 dollar supplement to his travel budget for the rest of the fiscal year. Hogan said he lacks funds elsewhere and has little left for office supplies. Judge Fisher noted no precedent with other constables. Commissioner Wilson urged approval to serve the people amid potential backlog while Auditor Shinn was asked about available funds.
