Woman's Club Hosts Social Evening Celebration

The Woman's club held a Monday social evening inviting their gentlemen friends to enjoy games music and dancing. Decorations featured red white and blue with cherry centerpieces and a large carnation centerpiece. After performances and lunch the group danced the Virginia reel and guests praised the entertainment. Also announced were drainage district commissioners for Davey district and county allocations with a projected land drainage cost around 176000 dollars.

Surprise visit honors Mrs Fournier at home

A group from the friends of Mr and Mrs Louis Fournier surprised Mrs Fournier at her home on Thursday evening. The guests spent the night playing whist and enjoyed a very pleasant time, as she had been confined with rheumatism all winter and welcomed the cheerful company.

Boy Injured In Rabbit Hunt Accident Near City

Fourteen year old Howan Mickelson was seriously wounded by a rifle misfire while rabbit hunting a mile south of the city. Companions Alex Jones and Janes Dickson helped him to a nearby shanty as doctors treated him and transported him to town. New Rural Mail Routes From Grand Rapids Post Office

Two new rural routes will be established from the Grand Rapids post office and mail delivery is expected to begin by April for residents along the routes.
