Plans by Nate Anderson and August Gottschall call for a 60 by 90 foot modern building on the Goodman corner with second floor Il Lodge rooms and a fine dance floor. Gottschalk & Anderson to run an exclusive grocery on the first floor. Also planned are a J N Menier brick building near the 86 Paul depot a Rowlands store near the market square and an Odd Fellows home. The St Paul road depot is hoped as a further Summer project.
Winter spending by Stevens Point residents funds road improvements from the city through Cuxson toward Rudolph and now aims to macadamize the stretch between Stevens Point and Plover. The city already has macadamized streets, but paving efforts reveal ongoing road trouble as soon as ends are reached.

Soloist Prof. Arthur Amsden on cornet drew the strongest applause with Beatrice Polka and his own pieces, encore Maggie May and Aunty Laurie. The Echo Polka and The Gue performed as Amsaden arrangements. Warrington’s singing Dreamwind and What in the Use of Moonlight impressed. Daly praised the lower final as the best since he owns the opera house.

H M Carlson, agent at the St Paul depot, fractured his left leg just above the ankle while slipping on an icy path near Pred Duncan place on Third avenue Saturday. He is confined to home and can only move about with crutches. recovery will take time.
