Watertown opens its stuffed goose market for holiday pate de foie gras. Thousands of dollars are spent annually as orders pour in from the United States. geese are prepared by hand over weeks with careful feeding, weighing up to 28 pounds, and sold at premium prices.
The state commission certifies three eligibles for sealer duties. Mayor Wheelan will select one. salary fixed at 35 dollars monthly with office paraphernalia provided.
