Eighth alleged gang member captured in Sioux City

On board Battleship Wyoming off Virginia Capes on September 27, four Atlantic fleet battleships steamed from Lynnhaven to secret positions while over twenty destroyers patrolled the route. Strikers Deny All Charges At Fargo Hearing

In Fargo North Dakota Sept 27 Faward Schmidgall and fellow Great Northern strikers from New Rockford denied all affidavits charges in a show cause contempt case before Federal Judge C F Amidon. Henry Johnson testified he drew a gun during the raid and the hearing was continued to 10 am Saturday with an order to move a picket tent 900 feet from the New Rockford crossing. The Minot striker case for beating a Great Northern employee will be heard late this afternoon.

Western Canada in worse shape than North Dakota

Fargo, N. D., Sept. 27. Walter R. Reed, of the North Dakota relief committee with Governor Nestos, reports Western Canada is in far worse condition due to low prices than farmers here. He notes bad crop prices and talks of possible farmer debt moratorium, as the delegation sought federal relief.

Cloudburst Wipes Out Part Of Desert Track

A cloud burst in the Chocolate Mountains north of Zuma tate tracks about thirty miles west of here in Arizona disrupted railway operations near Galemtscal. No lives were reported lost. Local officials stated no injuries among those working on or near the line.

Truck Driver Struck by Train Walks Away Unharmed

Cinconad September 27. Bilde Ranyon, a truck driver near the state highway commission, calmly walked away after a train at 65 miles per hour struck him. He declared, That's all there is to it, as the engine crew checked for injuries and exchanged a few words with him.
