Hundreds of loan requests poured in from banks across the northwest as the relief fund of 1 billion dollars via the finance corporation began offices today. EB Fice, Bank of Minneapolis vice president, chairs the Minnesota committee. 3 Granguard of Rogers, N D, named secretary and oversees offices. The Minnesota committee will evaluate bank loan applications and collateral.
Superior Wisconsin mayor accuses a Minneapolis dock owner of refusing to sell stove or pea anthracite coal. He cites a letter stating the dock chief promised coal at fixed prices and to supply all needed, urging action to secure the promised supply for the city.
