Paris reports that infantile paralysis is subsiding in France. Director Brisac of Public Health and Dr. Arnold Netter note the disease peaks in August and September and remains non epidemic, occurring only in isolated cases.

Word arrived late this afternoon of the death of A Sovereign formerly Northern Pacific division superintendent with headquarters at Staples, now in St Paul. Chicago Sept 20 United States Senator William J Stone of Missouri issued a statement for the western national democratic headquarters regarding the eight hour law as related to railroad operatives. Stone said the administration's views are represented and attacked Hughes Roosevelt Lodge Root and others claiming Wilson and Congress weakened governmental foundations by surrendering to force. He argued no one threatened Wilson or Congress and noted Congressmen were flooded with letters urging action to avert the crisis.
Des Moines rolls in Sept 20 Mor so Mrs Felix Salice wife of a poor Italian skirt maker learned she will share in the estate of her great great grandfather Patrick O Brien a wealthy Irish landholder. About 15 to 20 million dollars is held in a San Francisco bank to be paid to O Briens heirs. Her share may total around three million dollars. Her mother Mrs W H Rogers of Burlington Vermont has been told and advised her. The funds are in the British American Bank of San Francisco. Mrs Salice and her great grandfather died about two or three years ago in Dublin. She said surviving heirs include her mother two aunts and an uncle living in the east.
