Dr Wilmer A Hadley former army surgeon accompanied by W W Beverly and Sheriff W W Cynder left for Richmond to face trial for the murder of his wife Mrs Sue Tinsley Hadley two years ago. Prosecutor claims Hadley confessed to poisoning his wife weighed her body with iron and buried it in the Chicahominy river. Hadley denied admitting the crime to reporters. The confession allegedly was obtained while being moved to Denver from Farmington New Mexico.

General Leonard Wood to lead University of Pennsylvania

Ormsby Tragedy Ends in Mas Murder Suicide
The Kiocow family of Ormsby Minnesota was found shot to death. Frank Kiocow, the husband and father, is suspected to have killed his wife and five children before shooting himself. The coroner reported the deaths occurred Sunday night or Monday morning. Burials planned with services in St James. Parents of Mrs Kiocow, Mr and Mrs Peter Magnus of Sterling North Dakota, will attend.

Thomson gets 15 years in Austin larceny case
Hansom J. Cy Thomson was sentenced to a term not to exceed fifteen years in the state penitentiary after pleading guilty to two counts of grand larceny in the misappropriation of 850,000 and 3298,900 from his employer George A Hormel and Company of Austin. Judge John D. Meighen pronounced the sentence after a two hour hearing. Counsel said a deal with Hormel would drop two counts, ending one of four sensational cases in the state.
