Washington reports revived plans set overseas forces to sail from France by June 3 except regular divisions. Units in service of supply to sail with 100000 in May and 200000 in June. Chaumont HQ to close. Coblenz sector to be supplied from Antwerp. Demobilization exceeds sixty percent with 2,215,161 total released including 112,556 officers.
Paris May 24 Lieutenant Roget the French aviator who flew nonstop over 680 miles from Lyons to Rome in April began a new mission from Paris at 3 2 m bound for Morocco with a later plan to cross the Atlantic to Brazil. Mechanician Offtey accompanied him.
Winnipeg May 24. A notice by George A Watson Manitoba telephones commissioner orders all telephone employees on strike to resume work by noon Monday or face dismissal. Central strike leaders extended the walkout to long distance operators in country exchanges as talks focus on union council responsibility and settlement terms.
A Bayonne fire wounded about thirty people at a plant incident on May fourth. Fire department crews aided victims and one man reportedly leaped to escape, later taken to Bayonne Hospital amid panic among workers, including many women.
American railroad troops aid rapid Allied advance along the Murmansk railway as Bolsheviks destroy bridges. Americans reshape tracks and deploy motor launches on Lake Onega connected to Lake Ladoga. The body of 19 year old Rey Urness was found in the Red River about a half mile below Riverside Park. Identified by his father John Urness, the corpse is in poor condition after its journey, while authorities search for a second drowning victim, William Peterson, with no trace yet.
The court house audience did not hear Dr Shutter this evening as he failed to appear. No explanation was received about his absence. A letter to The Herald said Shutter was to speak in Fargo at noon Friday and in Grand Forks that night, but he did not arrive, leaving inquiries unanswered.
London reports a British boy named George Loveridge, once treated as a mascot by American airmen of Nos 186th, 1534th and 228th squadrons, now in Ukbridge police court for sleeping rough. He lost both parents in a 1917 air raid, received $10 monthly from paymasters, and fears four years of government restriction after the Americans left.
Count von Brockdorff-Rantzau and other German peace delegation members arrived in Versailles this morning after a visit to Spa. The group, including Dr. Theodor Melchair expert, spoke briefly as they alighted from the train at Noisy le Rol station and left in automobiles for Versailles.

All warships would be surrendered ending Austria’s naval power.
London reports severe Atlantic storms after Harry G. Hawker and Lieutenant Commander Grieve vanished during their attempted trans Atlantic flight. Ships from Liverpool and Boston describe a cyclone and tremdous seas lasting about 24 hours, with a cable ship sighting a red light from an airplane early Monday near 50 28 N 30 W.
Amoy China May 14 Protests were adopted against the terms of the peace treaty with Germany as they affect Tsingtao and Shantung at a mass meeting today An address to the American peace was adopted and telegrams were ordered sent to the Paris peace conference the Chinese peace delegates and the legations of the allied powers in Peking
General Sir William Robertson arrived at Coblenz for a meeting with Lieutenant General Liggett of the American army to discuss Allied military action if Germany rejects the peace terms. British aviation officers also reached Coblenz and conferred with Third Army leaders on possible aviation support for the program.
London dispatch reports a major shift in the Russian conflict as anti Bolshevik forces gain ground near Petrograd and Lake Onaga with support alleged from British non combat troops. The Kalchak movement advances threaten Bolsheviks as bombardments disrupt Petrograd and surrounding ports.
