Transfer of Case Is Asked in Northern Dakota Railway
A motion to remove the Northern Dakota Railway case from state to federal court was argued before Judge W. J. Kneeshaw. The judge took the matter under advisement. The Guthrie company, Minneapolis, bought the line and sought removal while citizens along the route secured a temporary injunction to stop dismantling the road. The railway runs from Edinburg to Concrete and was built by local farmers. The May 14 mortgage sale preceded a crew being set to tear up the line, with the injunction preventing further work pending the hearing.
