In Waukegan Illinois on July 18 Charles Flambert aged 60 and his son Peter were wounded by buckshot after a quarrel over stray cattle. Ed Sage a neighbor fired the shots and faced assault charges. Neighbors say the Flamberts were threatened with lynching if they returned to their farm. Sage alleges Flambert struck his wife and baby during the argument.
