Vienna reports the Hungarian communist government in Budapest was overthrown and the foreign minister said killed. Advices from Vienna to Washington say a communist revolution seemed imminent in German Austria, with unclear involvement by Socialists or bourgeois parties.
Omaha reports a tor nado striking the western residence area causing extensive property damage especially in Dundee and Clifton Hill with many homes unroofed. The same storm disrupted wire communication across southeastern Nebraska and damaged several farm houses near Elmwood in the last night storm.
