Plant Manager Hurt At Graham Cotton Oil Plant
At about ten oclock last Monday night G F Meece manager of the Graham Cotton Oil Companys plant was seriously hurt when his right foot was caught in the seed conveyor. He was showing ladies through the machinery and stepped on cotton seed near the conveyor causing the lid to slip and pull his foot into the auger. The thick sole kept the seed knife from tearing off his foot. Doctors say he will likely be about in a couple of weeks with crutches. The foot was not to the bone in two places and badly mashed with an ugly gash below the knee.
