Immigration Agents Bring Prospectors to Young County
W S Moore of Oskaloosa Iowa and A M Loomis of Hannibal Missouri led seven prospectors from Barry Illinois to Flint Ranch and Proffitt country last Saturday. The group, including farmers merchants and bankers, praised the area and helped sell about 10000 dollars of Young County land. They left for Illinois Monday morning and another arrival from Iowa is expected later in the week. The Immigration Department plans to run a Special car to Graham from the north every two weeks and asks local citizens to aid in locating and welcoming new settlers.
