Obituary of J C Hindman Ends Long Graham Life
J C Hindman died at 2 30 am Monday at his North Oak Street home after weeks of ill health. Born 1827 in South Carolina he moved to Graham in 1878 and built his home. Survived by widow two daughters Mrs Will Yancey Miss Cleo and son Walton Hindman. one daughter preceded him. Funeral by Rev Bowman with Masons at cemetery. he served in Gen Forrests cavalry and lived long at church, civic and family duties.

Mrs. Samantha Harris Laid to Rest at Oak Grove
Mrs. Samantha Harris mother of Mrs. John Rubenkoenig was buried at Oak Grove Cemetery after a Monday morning service led by Rev. Cook. She would have been sixty seven on June 12 and leaves six children five daughters near here and one son in Grayson county. Her husband died two years ago after a period of ill health thought cancer. The Leader extends sympathy to the family.

Padgett Earns M D Degree From Baylor Medical College
W O Padgett, a well known Graham resident, earned his M D from Baylor Medical College Dallas after eight years of schooling. He will intern one year at Baptist Memorial Sanitarium Dallas before starting practice. The Leader congratulates him on his success and future service to humanity.

Doctor Gallaher Undergoes Serious Operation in Fort Worth
Dr J W Gallaher underwent a serious operation at St Josephs infirmary Fort Worth this morning. Mrs Gallaher sent the message shortly after noon reporting the doctor is holding up but condition has grown worse since the move from Graham to Dallas for rest and a change in surroundings. Friends across the country await further reports with hope for a rapid recovery.

Shower Postponed At Jeffery Home Due To Rain
The B O H shower planned for tonight at the home of Mr and Mrs 8 R Jeffery is postponed because of rain. The couple will move to their ranch soon and the event may be rescheduled for their return at the end of August. The Presbyterian protracted meeting will begin next Sunday.
