Jean drew about 4000 to 10000 attendees at the annual old settlers and Indian fighters barbecue and picnic. A committee organized meals and entertainment with speeches and games. Prizes for oldest attendees went to J C Shuffler and Elizabeth Sims, highlighting local memory of frontier days.

Graham Library To Open June Second
The Graham Public Library moves to new quarters in the Graham Land Office building and opens June 2. It will be closed until then for book re arrangement. Mrs John Dowdle is named librarian with new methods to be implemented. Return overdue books for re classification as soon as possible. From June 2 the library will operate 2 to 6 p m daily, Sundays and holidays excepted.
