Roll of Honor lists Confederate veterans from many units

The roll of honor records the presence of numerous Confederate veterans last Saturday. Names include T. J. Lamons, M. F. Mathis, E. F. Witherspoon, A. P. H. Johnson, F. S. Thigpen, J. L. McGee, J. B. Bond Election for Graham School House Upgrade

The Graham Independent District held a bond election on Wednesday the 10th to approve 20000 dollars for a new school building. The vote was 102 in favor and 10 against, signaling a clear mandate for a modern, commodious public school.

County Court Votes On County Bond Election For Bridge

The County Commissioner's court held its quarterly session approving an order for a June 17 election to decide issuing bonds to fund bridges at the mouth of the Clear Fork river near Belknap and other streams. An official notice will follow. The court adjourned after visiting Leader Paice.

The Kimberley high school board surveyed 444 parents about teaching Dutch in school hours. Only twenty parents, representing thirty six of 775 pupils, urged Dutch study, indicating low support for elevating Dutch in the curriculum.
