Stewart Murder Case Opens in Graham Trial
The January 17 shooting of C. T. Rutherford led neighbor A P Stewart to surrender. The trial began with a special venire of ninety jurors, witnesses sworn, and both sides ready for testimony. State witnesses described wounds, relationships, and movements on the day of the homicide as jurors listened in a crowded courtroom.
