A Sunday report notes strong attendance across churches. Methodist and Baptist Sunday School counts, sermons on mission support and intercessory prayer, and baptisms. Presbyterians emphasize Romans guidance and daily surrender. Evening services feature Christ the Liberator and universal call themes. Elks and Endeavor groups hold meetings and choir songs.
Mrs Starrett, one of the oldest residents, died at the home of J E Parsons on North Elm street at 5 o clock Monday evening after a brief illness. She had planned to move to Denison Texas to live with daughter Mrs Allie McCoy but fell seriously ill Sunday night. Funeral services were held at Oak Grove cemetery Tuesday at 3 PM.
Mrs Guy Seybold died last Sunday at 11 am at the home of her parents five miles east of town after a three year illness. Remains were laid to rest at Oak Grove cemetery at 3 pm Monday. She leaves a husband and a two year old daughter. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved.
Dan Baker suffered a serious injury last Saturday evening returning from Graham with a load of lumber. Descending the hill at McCan bridge he fell from the wagon and the rear wheel passed over his left leg above the ankle breaking both bones. He was taken to L. P. Brooks’s home where a physician treated him and he is reported to be recovering well.
A court report correction notes that the Parker versus Kindley case was set for Tuesday of the fourth week, not Thursday. The district court proceedings last week cited the wrong day, and the accurate schedule is clarified for readers.

A large crowd filled the streets from morning until night as Trades Day drew buyers, sellers, and visitors. Horses, poultry, and farm goods were on display while dealers reported strong business, reflecting a growing community interest in trading and mutual farming improvement.

Fire swept ten acres of stables and pens on Exchange avenue South Fort Worth at six this morning. About 1500 head of horses, hogs, sheep and goats perished, with 2500 live horses 300 sheep and 2000 hogs reported. Financial losses exceed 350000. One count lists 1400 carcasses among the ashes.
In the district court this week Texas v Gould was guilty with two years in prison for burglary. Rudolph Dietz was found not guilty of burglary. Frank Brunson case for forgery dismissed. Tom Hill alias Jordy Hill burglary likely to be tried tomorrow. Noble Brogdon charged with carrying a pistol set for Friday March 24 in county court.
Mr and Mrs Beecher Baker departed this morning to attend the Fort Worth Stock Show, taking part in the event as they travel to the city for the exhibition and related activities.
