The Graham High School commencement featured Dr. C R Taylor delivering the sermon at the new Methodist church. Superintendent Cogdell and Principal Newton led the procession as 37 graduates received diplomas. Dr Clinton Lockhart of TC U spoke, with medals and scholarships presented by local officials.

Sheriff’s office reports theft of about 1000 feet of 5 inch casing from Monroe Production Co near Olney, three men jailed with one released, examining trials in county court. Newcastle resident arrested for violation of prohibition laws. Sheriff Cambern helped locate Gladys Birdwell, 14, who disappeared Sunday and was found in Herron City after riding with youths. Oil promoters sentenced in federal fraud case
Charles Sherwin and H. K. Schwarz received ten years in federal prison and 15000 dollars in fines each. "General" Robert A. Lee drew two years and 6000 dollars in fines. Judge Benjamin Bledsoe imposed the terms after a guilty verdict on all three for using the mails to defraud and conspiring to defraud the General Lee Oil companies.

Dr. R. W. Rutherford, Graham sanitary officer, reported eight city dairies now operate under improved standards. Most barns are complete, milk houses sufficient, cows tested for tuberculosis, and health certificates issued for all dippers. Butter fat and bacterial tests to be recorded for public inspection.

Secretary Walker reports the Chamber will push three propositions this year a creamery a brick plant and a hospital for Graham and Young counties. A $100 000 brick plant with half financing pledged and a $50 000 hospital are under consideration while a creamery will be launched soon aided by local cow supply and a ready market for dairy products.
