A July sale offers 3 dozen ladies A grade Percale House Dresses at 1.40, 1 dozen Ladies Dressing Sacks at 0.50, 100 pairs of Ladies Slippers, Children's White Canvas Slippers at 1.00, White Canvas Slippers 1.25, Ladies Gingham Aprons 0.09 to 0.12, and 9x12 Axminster and Velvet Art Squares reduced from 25.00 and 16.50 to 20.00 and 13.50 respectively.
Sunday at the Churches reports attendance and sermons from Baptist Methodist and Presbyterian congregations in Graham on July 9. The Baptists had 206 at Sunday school with two baptisms. Methodists 180 in Sunday school with six additions and a sermon on The Enlarged Life. Christians 149 at Sunday school with two confessions. Presbyterians 121 at Sunday school with sermons on The Unchangeableness of God and Great Results from Small Beginnings. A choir solo by Louis Rubenkoenig and an Endeavor meeting led by Horace Tidwell accompanied the day’s good attendance and strong sermon evaluations.
The Leader clarifies that the Fisher home was not a hotel. It notes $900 insurance on the building and $500 on furniture, and explains the errors came from relying on hearsay due to not speaking with the Fishers.

Officials A Kenney and Robt H, solicitors for Draughon's Colleges in Texas, visit Graham to establish a local campus. They plan to open within ten days if thirty students enroll, offering scholarships and using the old Masonic building near the Baptist Church. The venture aims to draw 75 to 100 pupils year round, boosting hotels and boarding houses while preserving affordable board.
The Loving Cumberland Presbyterian church schedules a protracted meeting starting Sunday July 16 at 11 o'clock in the Methodist tabernacle. Rev B E Bowmen of Ferris Texas will preach. All denominations invited to attend and participate in earnest prayer and service for God and souls. Rev R E Boyle, Pastor.
The Presbyterian Ladies Aid Society met with Mrs Rubenkoe nig present except three. President Mrs Jnc E Morrison led the session. The group approved doubling monthly dues for summer and skipping extra tasks. Plans were set for the fall bazaar and a missionary program led by Mrs Rose on Thursday the 20th.
Judge J H Cyclone Davis spoke at the courthouse last Saturday to a record crowd on prohibition. Introduced by Dr J W Gallaher he argued the Bible opposes strong drink and condemned saloons as enemies of civilization, citing crime links and political manipulation by the Liquor Dealers Association of America. He urged antis to study the issue before the vote on the 22nd.
Twenty one ladies and eight children gathered at Mrs. John E. Morrison’s home on Friday July 7 for a prayer meeting led by Mrs. Babb. The group studied the topic Service and felt the time was profitably spent. The next meeting is set for Friday August 4 at 5 30 pm at Mrs. Crawford’s with Mrs E H Morrison hosting.
Dick Whittenberg reports cotton in Tank Valley is holding its own and expects some harvest picks this fall regardless of further rain. He notes favorable conditions at his home and optimism for the crop.
