Cold Weather In Young County Impacts Crops and Insects
Following a warm spell a new storm brought cold air and light snowfall in Young County. The early snow is nearly gone by Thursday while the previous big snow remains partly melted. Farmers use the moisture from the 17th snowfall to prepare fields for this year's crops. Some wheat is believed to survive recent freezes, though late wheat faces doubt. If cold winters reduce pests, 1925 crops may see fewer insects.
