Commercial Club Hosts Farmers Union Night in Graham
The Graham Commercial Club held a reception and smoker for the Farmers Union of Young county attracting a large crowd and lively speeches. Charles Junker and Mayor M K Graham spoke on unity and good roads while the Firemen band provided music and a movie night followed at the Orpheum. John Cochran and Dora True wed at the bride’s mother home in East Graham with Rev. F E Singleton officiating.

Beard and Bergstresser Wed in Fresno Home
A Fresno report states John F. Beard and Miss Ariel Bergstresser married at the groom’s Fresno home at midnight December 31 1910 11. The house was prettily decorated and the event drew warm good wishes from Beard’s former neighbors here who sent regards for a happy prosperous life.

Mrs. F. A. Mayes Dies at Home Near Town
Mrs. F A Mayes longtime county resident died at her northeast of town residence last Sunday. Funeral conducted by Rev B A Snoddy and held in Oak Grove cemetery Monday evening. She leaves four children and many friends. Also noted a lost watch found on the sidewalk near Graves Ward and St Louis Restaurant with gold filled case and Waltham movement engraved T G outside. Tragic Train Death Claims J C Hand At 22
J C Hand 22, son of J M Hand of Tank Valley, was killed near Ennis when a freight train’s engine pulled loose from the tender and the second engine plus three cars passed over him. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery with funeral conducted by Rev McMurry assisted by Rev Singleton and Dr Rouse.
