Cotton Yard Fire Destroys 70 Bales at Alliance

A blaze at the Alliance Cotton Yard platform last Monday around 3 o clock consumed 70 bales of cotton and damaged about half the platform. The fire, whose cause is unclear, is suspected to have started from sparks from a local freight engine aboard the Democrat.
