Pioneer cattleman W O Clark dead at Olney
All in Young and adjoining counties mourn the death of W O Clark a pioneer cattleman with large holdings who had lived in Graham and Olney. The body was moved to R W Tidwell’s residence and a Methodist church funeral followed by burial at Oak Grove cemetery. De Molay Chapter Instituted At Decatur High School
The Clarence Brown Hockaday chapter of the Order of De Molay for boys aged 16 to 21 was instituted last Friday night by the Decatur Texas degree team. Over thirty charter members were initiated at the high school building. The Decatur team included J. E. Man as adviser council chairman and M. B. Smith as council member among others. The chapter honors Graham Mason C. B. Hockaday for whom the chapter is named. A brief program preceded the installation, with invocations, songs, and a musical interlude. The event concluded with praise for the new organization and plans for future coverage next week.

The F. F. F. Highway through Graham drew many tourists this summer as the route from Fort Worth to Las Vegas grew in travel. The association promotes travel with no membership charges and equal county representation, aiming to make the highway the busiest in the Southwest. Directors at Clovis, New Mexico, Aug 21 adopted a free membership plan and planned extensive advertising with logs maps and cards to boost 1923 travel tenfold.
