Prof. Odom, superintendent, arrived from Mineral Wells last week to arrange the Graham public school opening. R. Purman, cleaner and dyer, extends thanks to Grahem and vicinity for liberal patronage and recommends Misa Lena Stullan as competent for cleaning and dyeing duties.
A severe Monday night electric storm swept from the northwest into Graham and surrounding districts. Bright lightning lit the sky, causing telephone outages but little property damage. A man named George Bigham reported his snail purse burned and his pants singed from the shock, while residents discussed insurance and life prospects amid the event. Local names and notices fill the page, including marriages, visits, and business updates from Graham and Goose Neck.

A letter from J. E. Ryvus from Ketchikan Alaska expresses appreciation for The Leader newspaper. The writer recalls printing the first copy and values the paper as a link to old home and friends. He mentions mournful news of deaths Dr. Price and Mrs. Sewell and sends kind regards to Mrs Editor.

A Nashville user testimonial from Mrs Henry Carter of 705 Central St says her three year old son improved after one bottle, with doctors unable to help. Sold by Graham Drug Co.
The piece accuses Theodore Roosevelt of denying access to White House grounds and a Marine Band picnic to poor white children unless Black children were included. It says Roosevelt closed the gates and withdrew permission when Black children were not invited, mocking him as unable to be colored up like Ham.
Elm Street Meat Market advertises fresh meats and barbecued meats on hand. Kegs and Butter on Ice invites orders from Guyer and ProKarp, phone 134 Rings.
Elus and Parker's Music House on pourth side square advertises piano and organ sales cheaper than any state dealer. Also offers sewing machines from 5.00 dollars and up.
