Young farmers enter state and county contests
In March 1926 Graham Chamber of Commerce secretary T. T. George announced a prize of 175 dollars in pure bred livestock for the farmer who grows the most cotton on five acres and the most feed. Dozens of local farmers, plus state entrants, have entered the county and state competitions with rules printed in the Leader. Secretary George and County Agent W. C. Hale say the past few days have seen plats measured and discussions warn of possible borer and insects affecting yields.
