Kelley Brings Promising Grain Crop To Mt Pleas Ant
Henry Kelley of the Mt Pleas ant community brought in a sample head of grain named oe eorn a irman sweet cane and Ketrita. He planted seven acres the first of May with only one rain and the head is well filled. Kelley expects it to be a good breath resisting crop and plans to experiment raising hogs on the feed.

Mule Falls Through Bridge Into Hole on Clear Fork
S L Thornton reported by phone yesterday morning that a mule fell through a hole in the bridge over the Clear Fork at South Bend while crossing with a grain drill from the Stovall Plantation. The mule suffered bruises to its head and legs.
