Entomologist R. R. Reppert warns grasshoppers will hatch across many areas this spring. Early spraying is urged in hatching zones with poison bran mash using amyl acetate or lemons, applied to low grass and along streams. Five acres require 25 lbs bran 1 oz arsenic, plus water and molasses to a workable mash.
