Payne Gasser on the James Payne place near South Bend sprayed oil yesterday after coming in days ago with about 12,000,000 feet of gas. The well, down 1,894 feet, is two miles southeast of South Bend and could unlock new territory. A pipeline line to the well will be completed today. Washington report notes Obregon says U S recognition terms must not compromise Mexican sovereignty. He says a treaty is not required for recognizing international obligations.
