Luena Germany March 26 United Press reports workmen who seized factories during the Communist uprisings intend to keep them as the first step toward a Communist regime. Max Kemping, movement leader, says the Communists are ready to abandon humanity and use force and guns to achieve their aims.
Chicago March 26 Eighteen White Sox players and alleged gamblers were indicted by the Cook County grand jury on conspiracy and confidence game charges tied to throwing the 1919 World Series. Indictments include Eddie Cicotte Claud Williams George Weaver Fred McMullen Oscar Felsch Joe Jackson Chick Gandill Hal Chase and others with further indictments of Sport Sullivan Abe Attell and Rachael Brown. The case follows renewed probes into the confessed plot and earlier indictments against six players.
Local business leaders raise 1290 for Graham’s newly formed Texas Oklahoma League team. Manager Carl Van Zant sails to Fort Worth to buy equipment as materials arrive to form a ballpark and assemble players. Donors include S. B. Street & Co and First National Bank with numerous other supporters across five, ten, and twenty five dollar levels.
The Godley No. 5 M. K. Graham well reported flowing at 1,500 barrels per day after reaching 2,500 feet. Godley No. 4 M. K. Graham noted about 1,200 bpd at the same depth. Young County Oil & Gas finish fishing and prep to drill at 2,400 feet. Rumors say Texas Company may drill near Whittenberg and Wick leases. Barnes Production moves tools toward spudding around April 5.
Berin reports a planned Berlin Communist uprising with dynamite plots against public buildings and monuments. Police warn the public as thousands of unemployed try to seize factories on the city outskirts and are dispersed. Authorities regain control of Elleseben Hettstedt and Mannsfield after heavy fighting.
Merseburg dispatch says former I. W. W. members are leading communist uprisings near Leuna as of March 26.
Communist spokesmen in Berlin charged that the government aimed to crush workers to force reparations on them and to prove to the Entente that keeping arms is necessary to quell proletarian uprisings. The government issued counter charges.
Washington reports that Great Britain has a tentative program for engaging with the Harding administration. It calls for world disarmament steps by Britain if the United States does not move first, and signals Britain may accept removing Article X of the League while keeping the covenant’s main body. Ambassador Geddes is expected to lead the British mission to the United States.
Sheriff John Saye arrested E. L. Foster and Arthur Corley near Loving and brought them to Graham, charged with robbing the John E. Morrison Company store at Loving Thursday night. Most stolen goods were recovered in T. L. Oliver's pasture near Loving. Evidence included articles found on the suspects. Grand jury to reconvene Monday to consider the cases for this term of District Court.

New locations include Mid-Kansas Pinkney Smith No 2 G E Milam No 2 Prairie J W Hill No 3 T P Newell No 1 Magnolia Vick No 1 and more. Current production lists several wells with barrels per day including J W Hill No 3 1500 and others ranging up to 875 barrels.

Pensacola dispatch says five Navy men remain missing after a balloon was blown adrift Tuesday night. Despite slim hopes, searchers use power boats and dirigible planes to intensify the hunt over the ocean.

South Bend March 26 A large railroad grading outfit moved in yesterday and set up camp two miles west of the city. Ground breaking is planned for today on a three mile grade from South Bend to Eliasville with more crews arriving as contracts are completed toward Graham.
Graham business leaders from the Chamber of Commerce raised 6900 in one hour to fund a city fire truck. Secretary Milton McConnell said the chamber will underwrite the purchase for the City Council and the funds will be refunded when the city’s finances improve.

Captain C. W. Keen announced that a serious polo team has formed among ranchmen nine miles from Graham on route 1. Players include Pete Bryan Roy Bryan Jim Robertson and Clarence Blount with polo fields in Logan pasture on the Jacksboro road. A Jermyn team is also forming and more matches are expected as Graham considers organizing its own squad.
Adger Morrison, chief of police, commended the city for low crime levels and the efficient handling of the few cases that arise. He noted no trend toward lawlessness since the Frisco Exposition Shows began under the local American Legion post, and pledged to maintain the orderly environment in Graham.

Dirt turned yesterday for the Lauck Gallagher two story brick structure on the east side of the square where Mc Cloud's grocery stood. It will measure 26 by 150 feet with 14 offices upstairs and five stores downstairs, with entrances on Fourth and Elm streets, costing about 30000 dollars and due in about 90 days. Bids for Gra ham estate building at Elm and Third streets have opened and the contract will be let Monday. This two story brick will be modern in every respect.
