Tailor Ownbey of Graham defeated Young Barear of New Orleans in a fast ten round bout at the ball park last night. The crowd praised the bout as the best ever held in the city as both fighters stayed active from start to finish. Ownbey dominated from the first round and invited a challenger in the 126 pound class to meet him at the ball park next Tuesday night. M. K. Ownbey, father of the boxer, is an oil operator residing in Graham.
