Lake City reports indicate the Mid-Texas Graham Syndicate lease drill reached a twelve hundred-barrel well at 2100 feet, about a mile and a half north of the town. Gas shows were stronger on the M. K. Graham lease, water preps under way to bring in the well, depth now between 2400 and 2500 feet. The Furlow school site spudded in, bought for 2000 dollars with royalties reserved for school use. A Lake City refinery is planned soon with another refinery in prospect, and local bath house and picture show ready to open amid new construction.
