The U S Labor Board ruled that railroad common labor wages must not be cut without both sides appearing before the board to present their case. It will hear New York Central's 25 percent wage cut proposal on April 18, with twenty five trunk lines agreeing to follow the decision.
London April 7. Negotiations to end the British coal strike collapsed when the miners refused the owners demand to keep mines from feeding. The meeting was canceled, troops were rushed to strategic points, and large food stores were gathered while transportation was cut.
In Eliasville Texas the Black gusher and Brown farm completions expand proven territory across the river. Milam and Katy Bell wells plus several offsets like Yukes Spakes Black No 2 and Magnolia No 1 show strong production and growing investment as the field gains attention and promising tests at York Spoonts and Sun Kendrick wells.
The Crop Estimates Bureau forecasts the winter wheat harvest at 650 million bushels for this year, about 75 million more than last year, in Washington reports dated April 7.

He says the Governor should have either vetoed or approved both and questions the rural schools veto as misjudging the states interests.
Sweetwater Texas April 7 resolutions condemn Governor Pat M Neff for vetoing the West Texas A M College Bill and the Rural School Aid measure passed by scores of West Texas towns. Speeches by public figures including Representative M E Rosser followed with heavy denunciation of Neff action. The idea of a division of state was discussed but not seriously considered.
Special to The Leader Lake City April 7 The Royal Blue Refinery will be completed and operating in a week or ten days. It will process about one thousand barrels of crude daily and produce gasoline kerosene and lubricating oils and greases. Plans include a refrigerating and electric plant to supply power and light to Lake City Harding and Clusky City.
April 7 reports A. B. F. Oil Company has bunk houses ready to erect a rig on the river bed three miles east of Eliasville. The well is expected to be spudded in within a week. Company officials are A. B. Eddieman A. Fredenberg and Otto Kidd of Graham Texas.
John Williams, proprietor of Jasper county death farm, testified at his life case in Covington Georgia courthouse. He described federal officers visiting the farm and said the worst finding was a revolver carried by a boy. He proclaimed his innocence before God.
Roy Harris age 22 and his companion Bill Duncan faced trial in Buffalo for the murder of Joseph B. Elwell a millionaire clubman and whist expert. Harris confessed to killing Elwell in his apartments last June after an offer of 5000 dollars from Mrs. Fairchild to remove him.
Harrison Arkansas April 7 six railroad union officials are believed safe somewhere in Missouri after a hurried flight from Harrison when a committee of one thousand armed men ordered them to leave town within thirty minutes.
A blaze in the Arkan Asakusa district of Tokio destroyed sixteen hundred buildings and left five thousand people homeless, according to a morning survey of the fire loss.
Oklahoma City April 7 President Whitehurst of the Board of Agriculture said there will be one third less cotton in Oklahoma this year than last.
Reports show severe storms across Oklahoma and Texas this week with three business houses destroyed by fire after winds. Clarendon records estimated damages around 250000 dollars as lingering storm clouds threaten further impact.

Eliasville chamber of Commerce completes plans to improve public roads. A joint effort with Newcastle chamber sets April 12 to work roads between Eliasville and Newcastle, with a similar arrangement planned with Ivan for a later date.
Deputy McNamara of the Texas Railroad Commission begins his first Young County field inspection. He will review pipeline capacity and may pinch wells if lines cannot handle production to avoid waste. He plans to meet operators, outline future policies, and has set temporary HQ at the Chamber of Commerce.
LeRoy Perkins eleven year old nephew of Mrs J J Gallaher was bruised when struck by an automobile today at noon in front of the high school building. Medical aid was rendered by Dr W O Padgett. The accident occurred when the boy tried to pass between two cars.

The Trinity River is expected to flood low lands from ae to Trinidad with river levels reaching thirty five to seventy feet according to the Weather Bureau. The river stood at thirty three and one half feet today.
