The Dodge touring car prize will be awarded Saturday night at the show grounds as the American Legion sells tickets to raise funds for a community house in Graham. Legion members expect a large turnout before 9 o clock to claim the winning number. The Frisco Exposition Shows end their Graham engagement Saturday night.
Off Port Townsend the freighter West Hartland rammed the steamer Governor causing its sinking. Some survivors are aboard the West Hartland with 291 believed dead or missing as wireless reports place 125 passengers among the ill fated ship’s casualties.
The Chamber of Commerce meeting at the courthouse is postponed after the death of R G Hallam vice president of Guaranty State Bank at 7 30 this morning. Secretary McConnell announced the decision after a directors conference and the meeting will likely be held Monday night.
Representatives of all farmers livestock organizations will meet in Washington during the first week of the new Congress to frame a national farm policy and present it to President Harding and Congress. They demand relief from high railroad rates packet control emergency tax revision national aid for cooperative marketing and an amendment to railroad laws in the public and consumer interest.

Covington Georgia April 1 officials said two more victims were killed on Jasper county death farm under orders of Hyland Williams son of farm owner John Williams An unnamed witness testified to the alleged order making thirteen total killings on the farm cleared up by state officials.
The Wichita Falls and Southern will seek bids today for a freight depot between Third and Fourth streets. The freight room covers 100 by 30 feet with about 2,000 feet of platform space. Chief Engineer McFarland could not comment on rumors of a junior depot, saying officials are handling the matter.
The Ranger firm Texas Drug Company led by T. J. Harness will open a modern Graham drug store at 525 Fourth Street by April 9 with a full stock of supplies and fixtures. Mrs. Harness and L. F. Mallow join the Graham operation, while the Ranger store remains in operation.
