A cold front moved east across the plains bringing high winds and rain to the mid Atlantic region. The western Dakotas to northeastern Montana recorded subfreezing temperatures with frost forecast for parts of the north central states tonight. Storm warnings stretched from Nantucket to the North Carolina coast as the Atlantic storm advanced southward. Another report: a B 29 crashed near San Jose after a midair fire, killing no one but a crewman injured. the craft exploded on impact and burned over two square miles of brush.

Three Teens Escape Injury In Car Mishap
MISS PEARL FELTON WEBSTER Sept. 13 Three teenage boys escaped injury Sunday night around 8 p m when the car they were riding turned over in the front yard of the John Hoffman residence. The Ford driven by Donald Fridley of Barbour County headed toward Philippi traveled without lights and veered toward the bank, plunging over the concrete steps and resting on its side at the Hoffmans porch. After onlookers helped, the car was righted and returned to the road still without lights.

Charleston officials report 358 motorists had licenses revoked or suspended in August for state motor vehicle law violations.
