Immunity by Inoculation of Tubercle Bacilli
Washington December 2 That any immunity from the dread white plague must come via living tubercle bacilli was the theory presented at the tuberculosis congress. Papers by Barber of Kaas and W W Williams and G W Webb of Colorado Springs argued that immunity in animals was achieved only with living bacilli. Experiments inoculated pigs with increasing bacilli counts, and post mortems showed no tuberculosis. Rabbits tuberculous from bacilli feeding are being similarly treated to test cure.
