Arnold Heads Group To Furnish $40 000 Relief To Taylor County Needy

Arnold leads a Taylor County welfare drive to provide about 1400 families with winter relief funded by a $40,000 loan. Petit Jury Chosen For November Circuit Term

A week-old tropical hurricane battered the Bahamas and caused extensive damage in Cuba and Jamaica. The freighter Phemius was repairing after a collision offshore Nickaragua and a salvage tug was nearby. The Ingola reported drifting without steering. Milkmen Delivery Suit Filed To Bar Dairy Firm

A.M. Campbell filed suit this morning seeking a writ of injunction to bar Elias Smith and Ralph Dunham from dairy work in the territory. Campbell claims Smith violated an agreement made when Campbell bought cows and dairy equipment for 1700 dollars mid summer and that Smith and his nephew began delivering milk and soliciting customers in October. He lists Otha Compton on bills and recalls a quarrel with Dunham near City Hospital over milk deliveries.

Dollar climbs while stock market staggers after election

Charleston Nov 10 Three women will be members of the house of delegates at the January session. Democrats Mrs B W Price Fayette county and Mrs F Suddarth Taylor county join Republican Mrs P T Harman McDowell county. Suddarth was nominated after her husband died. he had been the party nominee in May.

Smith Beats Trevy Nutter by Big Margin

Earl H. Smith of Fairmont was elected to the State Senate from the Eleventh District in Tuesday's election by 4,047 votes. In Marion Monongalia and Taylor counties, 29,729 ballots were cast, with Smith carrying all three counties. He won Marion by 3,832 and dominated in Monongalia where he carried a precinct 268 to 0, being the sole Democrat to tally a majority in Annabell.

Riot in Geneva Ends in Fatal Machine Gun Fire
