Charles Bush nephew of J Lester Bush theater owner was seriously injured on Stewardsville road near Morgantown when the car he rode in with Miss Jean Hoffman Morgantown overturned. Bush may have a fractured cervical vertebra and Miss Hoffman suffered deep lacerations. They are treated at Morgantown City hospital. Hoffman was driving and a third occupant escaped injury.

G O P Takes Four School Board Posts
Republican candidates won four seats on the Taylor county board of education, with one Democrat elected but ineligible due to district rules. Top votegetter was Democrat J. Lee Evans with 3,854, followed by Republican Arthur Yates 3,823 and Republican Dr. Paul P. Warden 3,685. Other results show Walter G. Chrislip 3,570 and Democrat Paul E. Flemington High School Athletic Field Receives Approval
The Flemington High School athletic field project was approved by the FERA office. W. D. Frey, Taylor county project officer, announced that 7,560 man-hours will be needed for construction at a cost of $3,594. The back of the school will be graded and drained with a baseball backstop added. The 180 by 235 foot plot will serve as a recreation center for local youths. Lloyd L. Ghriver will supervise the project after Frey submitted the estimate on October 26 and received approval the following morning.

In Charleston with most results in, West Virginia Democrats swept five seats and led in a sixth. The Fourth district remained the lone close race where George W. Johnson trailed Robert B. McDougle by about 1,009 votes as precincts reported.
