Miss Elkins Might Be Morganatic Wife

Rome, Nov. 2. Rumor that a marriage between the Duke of Abruzzi and Miss Katherine Elkins hinges on Senator Elkins' family agreeing to a morganatic union. A morganatic match would deny Miss Elkins court status and royal blood for any children. The Duke might wed within his own caste, while the wife would rank as a royal princess and her offspring be counted in the royal lineage. Dowager Queen Margherita refuses contact until the Duke abandons the plan. The Duke plans to remain in Rome for a time. A cleric praises Preventives healing capabilities, touting no quinine and gentle effect, and warns they are safe for children. 48 tablets cost 25 cents.
