Mayor’s white way plan sparks tri pole dispute
Grafton Chamber of Commerce moves to oppose three sets of poles on Main Street to serve trolley lines and West Penn wires. A committee will press the mayor to cancel or delay the project until a joint pole arrangement with public utilities is reached, favoring a single cedar pole system to share costs. The group also plans to seek a quick agreement with the city and other utilities, while electing officers at a June meeting.
