Monday evening at 5 such as the deadline for voting in the Miss Grafton Sentinel contest. Ballots were printed in yesterday's Sentinel and readers were asked to cast three votes one for a Graf ton High School senior girl one for a St Augustine senior girl and one alternate. Residents in Flemington area will vote for Flemington high senior girl and the same person may not vote for both Flemington and the locals.

Wealthy Child Kidnapped in Mexico City Case

A six year old daughter of Samuel Granat a millionaire and movie house operator was kidnapped in Mexico City. Two men seized Norma Granat as she and her nurse left her father’s home after dawn. They handed the nurse a ransom note demanding eighteen thousand dollars in gold and warned police action would endanger the child. Granat’s fortune is estimated at one to two million dollars.

VolunteerOffers To Grade Clear Playgrounds In Taylor County

Volunteers offered to grade and clear debris at multiple Taylor County playground sites for summer use by county children. Escaped Prisoners Nabbed One Still At Large

One of two prisoners who escaped from the Riverside Drive stone quarry labor crew yesterday afternoon is recaptured. Charles Lilly, 25, a former Raleigh county resident, surrendered to two men from Webster last night and was returned to authorities. Both men faced sentences of two to ten years. officials remain on the lookout for the second escapee.

Prisoner Baptized In Greenbrier River at Hinton

Pearl Harrah, 37, serving 99 years for attacking an eight year old, was baptized yesterday in the Greenbrier river. Rev. Harry R. Peyton performed the rite at Belle Point near Hinton. Summers County Sheriff C. B. Garten supervised as a choir sang while Harrah was immersed. He awaited transfer from Hinton to the state penitentiary and spoke calmly with his wife beforehand.

Seven Men and a Blonde Held in Counterfeit Ring

Seven men and a blonde are in custody over a three million dollar counterfeit ring linked to a plot to overthrow the Dominican Republic. The blonde and four men were arrested in New York, another man taken in Miami, with two Cubans detained in Cuba. Local Boatsmen To Further Plans For Races July 2
