A French air Pyrenees transport plane en route to Bilbao’s Basque capital was shot down by seven insurgent planes near Sopelana, wounding pilot Jean Gally and a Spanish passenger. The aircraft made a pancake landing on sandy ground. both wounded are expected to recover. All passengers were Spanish.
