Nine West Virginia drownings in weekend boating incidents
The Associated Press reports at least nine people drowned in weekend West Virginia boating accidents. Six were teen boys. An overturned skiff near McMechen left only two survivors. Two Men Receive Injuries in Wreck
Carl Reese and Robert Poling of Route 3 were treated at City hospital for minor injuries after an automobile collision on Knottsville road. Deputy Sheriff W H Canfield said both had facial and head lacerations and bruises. Reese, in a 1935 Ford, hit a truck driven by Loren Shahan of Route 2 Newburg. Shahan and Richard Paul Bolyard, 11, of Route 2 Newburg, were uninjured.
