Missing Woman Search In Mountains Reaches Day Four
Washington reports police expanded search in the mountains for a missing woman as a recovery suit faces appeals board. The Interior secretary under Harding, Albert B. Fall, has moved to the board of tax appeals a government suit seeking 235 325 in taxes and penalties on sums paid by Harry Sinclair and Edward L. Doheny. More than 150 Gold Star Mothers and 116 veterans of the 27th division arrived in London aboard steamship and were cheered at the railway station after reaching England to visit graves of sons and buddies buried there. Veterans who served with the 4th British Army at Ypres and the Somme returned for the first time since the Armistice. eight Gold Star Fathers accompanied the group. A memorial sermon and wreaths were offered at sea for the dead. The party’s voyage was marred by news of an auto accident death involving Ireland, a former official, noted for church leadership roles in Peoria and Toronto.

Henry Sadler aged 65 died in a Bluefield hospital after wounds from bullets fired by his son in law J A Hubble. Hubble had said Sadler threatened him with a knife during an argument with Sadler’s daughter, and was released on bail set at 2500 dollars pending trial.
